Jack White (formerly of the White Stripes) has attained a new badge of cool. His new album, Lazaretto, has not only reached the coveted #1 spot on the album charts in its debut week, but it did so strongly on the sales of its vinyl edition.
That's right. An actual ALBUM. His sales for the week were approx. 138,000, of which, the LP edition sold 40,000, which by itself would have been enough to get him the #4 spot. The LP has a few special features of its own, including bonus "hidden" tracks underneath the label, which may have helped spur sales.
Way to be retro, Jack!
