now THAT'S how you cover a song!

As NYC Dueling Piano players, it's our job to cover other people's songs, and we do it 50-60 times a night. At a Dueling Piano bar, you are expecting to hear a version of the song that is pretty faithful, if not at least familiar, to the original you requested.

And when we do remake a song, it's usually to make it more bionic (faster, stronger...)

So, when an artist comes along and entirely rethinks a song, and makes you hear it in a way you never thought possible...well...that's just awesome!

Here is British singer Sam Smith, putting a heart-breaking stamp on Whitney Houston's dance track HOW WILL I KNOW. This interpretation delivers a gut punch. Right in the feels.
