Dozens of young concertgoers were hopsitalized last night in Boston, at the kickoff to Avicii's summer tour.
A potent mix of heat, dehydration, alcohol and questionable drug intake was said to be the cause of the mass injuries, which required over a dozen ambulances.
Now, this kind of mass "substance" use is no news to anyone who's ever been to a Grateful Dead concert or any of their modern day jam-band descendants, but somehow this incident seems more reckless, and more alarming.
We've never heard of scores of people requiring hopsitalization after a dose of bad brownies got passed around.
We wish all those involved a speedy recovery, and hope the promoters take the age and mindset of their audience into future consideration.
And now, SNL's prescient take on the rampant rise of the DJ culture.
