There are a few iconic, game changing moments in music history, after which, you just knew the game had changed forever.

The launch of MTV.
And the release of the video for SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT by Nirvana - a musical event which single handedly ended the reign of hair-bands on MTV and rock radio, and made them all but irrelevant in very short order.
Imagine being able to be present for the video shoot, not knowing the effect it would have one day.
Here is the casting call for the shoot - just seeking extras with a "high school persona". The extras aren't featured that much, but even those few moments of crowd anarchy that made it into the video cemented its place as the song of its era - perfectly capturing the coming wave of grunge that would dominate the early 90s.
The ad itself seems more like the casting notice for the Breakfast Club, but I don't recall seeing any "jock" or "preppy" types in the final cut...
