With TV shows like Orange is the New Black making prison life cuter and sassier than ever, we thought it was time for our weekly top 10 list.
This week, we're turning our attention to songs about the big house, goin' inside, and getting busted. So let's get to it, before the Man comes and takes away our privileges.

#10 - THIRTY DAYS IN THE HOLE - Humble Pie/Mr. Big
We don't get to hear this one much at the bar, but it's a groovin' record about the ills of being caught on the road with copious amounts of various pharmaceuticals. Sing along sometime, anywhere but the group shower.

#9 - I FOUGHT THE LAW - Bobby Fuller Four/The Clash
Another one you don't hear that often, but those bad boys of The Clash certainly made sure that paying your dues to society never sounded so good.

#8 - TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN - Steve Miller Band
Everyone knows the story of Billie Joe and Bobbie Sue. And exactly when to clap-clap-clap-clap-clap.

#7 - JAILBREAK - Thin Lizzy
Bustin' out of the Big House never sounded so fun, thanks to those hard-partying boys from Ireland, Thin Lizzy. Lots of bands have covered this song, we guess to up their street-cred as bad asses (lookin' at you, Bon Jovi...).

#6 - BAWITDABA - Kid Rock
Even if we have no idea what the title means, we can't stop singing along with it. And givin' love to our homies in cell block six.

#5 - COCAINE BLUES - Johnny Cash
Can you HAVE a prison countdown without the man in black? Clearly not. Prison music without Johnny Cash is like a list of weather songs without CCR. Or body parts without ZZ Top (i think we just launched another top 10 list...)

#4 - SITTIN AT A BAR - Rehab
This late 2000s entry still makes an appearance on the request lists, and nothing beats the meta-irony of sitting at a bar, singing about sitting at a bar.

#3 - JAILHOUSE ROCK - Elvis Presley
Leave it to the King to make prison life seem just so darn fun. And when the drums hit that CRACK-CRACK, everybody shimmies along.

#2 - YOU NEVER EVEN CALLED ME BY MY NAME - David Allan Coe
Striving not just to entertain, but also to educate, this timeless lesson in the finer points of country & western songwriting reminds us that alongside trains, trucks, momma and getting drunk, one of the five elements of the "perfect c&w song" is prison. Here endeth the lesson.
And at #1 -

FOLSOM PRISON BLUES - Johnny Cash
Can you HAVE a prison countdown without mentioning the Man in Black TWICE?
Honorable Mention goes to The Pretenders and BACK ON THE CHAIN GANG, proving that the gals can rock out the orange jumpsuits right alongside the fellas.
