The comedy and improv worlds lost a legend today - Robin Williams has passed away at the age of 63.
The early reports that this may have been a suicide makes it even more tragic. Robin Williams had as many credits in the dramatic acting field as he did in comedy, with career-defining roles in Good Will Hunting - in which he won an Oscar, Dead Poets Society, Good Morning Vietnam and many other films.
He rose to fame as Mork on the landmark TV sitcom, Mork & Mindy.
He was also a multiple Grammy winner, as well as receiving Emmys, Golden Globes, and numerous other accolades.
As a performer who works alot with spontaneous comedy, Robin Williams was a giant to me. His ability to read a crowd and instantenously "find the funny" in a room was better than any comedian I had ever witnessed.
