Because the NFL Doesn't Have Enough Money...

Reports have come out that the NFL has narrowed it's choice for the halftime artist for the 2015 Super Bowl to three options: Coldplay, Rihanna and Katy Perry.
But wait. There's more.
They have also, reportedly, asked these artists to, if selected, not only perform for free (which all previous performers have done) but also donate back a portion of their post-appearance tour earnings or make some other similar financial contributions.
That's right - the NFL has just come around to what the Sunset Strip has known for thirty years. If supply and demand are in the right alignment, musicians will pay the venues to perform.
Though, we're not sure any of these artists is in the same straits as say, the unsigned glam roster of 1986 Los Angeles.
Both Bruno Mars and Beyonce' saw serious upticks in concert revenue following their Super Bowl shows, so its truly capitalistic for the NFL to want a piece of the pie.
Will anyone submit to this, though? Maybe Poison is available.
