New Wave Rocker Elvis Costello turns 60!

One of the most sophisticated rockers of the 70s & 80s, Elvis Costello has brought a distinctive wit and perspective to his bespectacled view of music. And today, he turns a remarkable 60 years young.
A career with many hits, he has never stood still creatively. Experimenting with style and genre, he continues to offer collaborations with classical string quartets and funk pioneers, pop bands and folk legends.
His latest work is on The New Basement Tapes, a collection of Bob Dylan lyrics entrusted to producer T Bone Burnett with music written by Costello and other luminaries. Alongside Marcus Mumford and Jim James, they have put out the first track - NOTHING TO IT.
