Legendary songwriter Bob Crewe passed away earlier today at the age of 82.
With a string of hits that began in 1957 with SILHOUETTES, recorded by doo-wop group The Rays. In the 60's, his co-writes with Bob Gaudio created the sound of The Four Seasons - SHERRY, BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY, WALK LIKE A MAN, CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF OF YOU, and many more.
Crewe also co-wrote the disco hit LADY MARMALADE for Patti LaBelle, which shot to #1 in 1975.
Among the artists he produced were Mitch Ryder and Michael Jackson.
Immortalized in Broadway's Jersey Boys, his music is still wow-ing audiences eight times a week.
