RIP Jack Bruce, Cream Bassist

Legendary Cream bassist Jack Bruce passed away yesterday at the age of 71.

Part of the band that defined the term "power trio", Bruce, along with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker, crafted such hits as SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE, WHITE ROOM, STRANGE BREW, as well as their famous cover of CROSSROADS.

After the brief but impactful tenure of Cream, Bruce went to record numerous solo albums including Silver Rails, released this past March.

On his FaceBook page, Eric Clapton said Bruce "was a great musician and composer, and a tremendous inspiration to me."
