The Continuing Soap Opera of AC/DC

Aussie rockers AC/DC are lining themselves up to become this decade's Def Leppard of rock n' roll misfortune.

First came the announcement earlier in the year that long time rhythm guitarist, Malcolm Young, had to exit the band due to advancing dementia. Malcolm has since been replaced by nephew Stevie Young.

On the heels of the release of their new album, single, and preparations for a 2015 world tour, came the news of the shocking arrest of drummer Phil Rudd. Allegedly for attempting to orchestrate a murder-for-hire of two unnamed men.

One day later, though, the top count in the arrest has been dismissed due to insufficient evidence. Some underlying charges are still pending, namely "threatening to kill" (who among us wouldn't be convicted of THAT??) and the much-more-rock-n-roll-crime of possession of substances (in this case, meth-amphetamines and cannabis).

AC/DC has released no comment as of yet in the continuing saga of Rudd's case.
